Gardenia urvillei
Urvillei Gardenia is a shrub belongs to the same kind as the Gardenia Tiare Tahiti (Gardenia tahitensis). This plant is endemic, but it is not uncommon.

Description
This shrub has a dense branching and a rather twisted. Medium size (3-6 meters), is a tree trunk of small diameter. Its bark is slightly cracked light beige. The leaves are yellowish green, very characteristic. They have a rounded shape, as are thick and covered with varnish.

The flowers resemble those of Tahitian tiara, but this shrub dry forest has a different flavor characteristic that tiara. The flowers of this shrub are white and slightly fragrant. They measure 3cm in diameter and the petals. The stamens and pistil are not blind.
